Wilks Overhauls Denver Cluster

First of all I apologize for the lack of updates.

Wilks Broadcasting the new owners of The Wolf 92.5, Mix 100 KIMN KOOL 105 KXKL has announced yesterday that the're have been some layoffs and some changes.

The following are.

-Tracy and Jonathon from KOOL Morning Show will be moved to afternoon spots-New PD's annointed- Geronimo takes MIX PD, Shotgun Wolf, and Cha is brought back as KOOL PD, (new ultimatum the PD's must be on-air as well)-In addition to Cha being back Boogie Man is also back. (Another new wilks ultimatum is to get away from automation and have live DJ's in the studio close to all the time).

Brenda Egger, former director of sales for the cluster, is now the general sales manager for KXKL.

Several members of the sales staff -- including two long-time account execs -- resigned a few days ago.

Bill Gamble allegedly has left the building. He was director of operations and new media for the

cluster.

Breaking News!!! The Wolf to hibernate after Christmas???

First of all before I go on with some news I want to apologize for the lack of updates to this site and I want to thank you for sending your newstips and please continue to do so even if I haven't had the chance to update this site which I will try to get better at. OK now as you see from the Title I have some Breaking News to Report a member on Radio-info.com's Denver Board is reporting that some changes could take place since WILKS has supposebly taken over the 3 CBS stations. The station thats likely to change is 92.5 The Wolf KWLI. as you all know the station is currently running All Christmas as Colorado's Christmas Channel. Rumors are flying this morning that the station could soon flip to Top 40. and the other Rumor is that ex- KUBE in Seattle and KROCK PD Mike Tierney will take over. No word yet if Bill Gamble is still there.

Crusin 950 Launches

As we said earlier this morning that KKFN-AM 950 would possibly be launching a oldies format and they did. AM950 is now known as Crusin Oldies 950 KRWZ. They're currently jockless for the time being playing 9500 song in a row and when thats done they will get local talent.

Chase's Radio News Alert!!!!!!!! KKFN-AM to go Oldies and revive KIMN???

Well not sure yet. However, since Saturday AM950 has been running Oldies clips and Airtchecks from the KIMN days since Saturday and as of this Tuesday Morning it is continuing. As you know on Friday it has also played five Classic Country Songs and runnin sweepers saying gwet ready for Wide Open Country. We are not sure what the plans are for 950 but a member on Denverradio.net stated that they suspect if the oldies clips continue then it might be the actual format. Stay tuned as this Develops.
